The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and ambitious Head of Engineering for this hands-on position. You will be responsible for overseeing the engineering function, ensuring high-quality installations, and driving continuous improvement within the team. We want you to drive our installation division to the next level.

  • Lead and grow a dynamic team of engineers.
  • Drive innovative fleet solutions, including cutting-edge fleet technology, AI-driven systems, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Own key projects from inception to execution, contributing to the company’s vision of being a market leader.
  • Influence the strategic direction of our fleet management solutions, ensuring they align with market demands.

Commencement Date & Role requirements

An immediate start is available for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual, who can demonstrate high personal standards and excellent communication skills. A genuine interest in electronics and technology is a must!

The role will consist of the installation of connected cameras, safety sensors, and vehicle trackers, spanning from cars to 26T lorries and agricultural machinery. Experience with 12 and 24-volt systems is necessary. Moreover, experience within technical environments would be advantageous, given that the solutions we supply will need to be configured, commissioned, and demonstrated to the customer.

As an Auto Electrical Engineer, you will be required to maintain professionalism in your delivery and communications with both customers and other subcontractors. Your responsibilities will include participating in the planning and roll-out of large-scale projects, necessitating detailed record-keeping of completed work.

You will have regular, dedicated time in the office to focus on growing and improving our installation and maintenance service.

Work Conditions

When applying, please consider that we work closely with the transport industry. Given the nature of the industry, there are many occasions where access to vehicles is only available on weekends. Consequently, our engineers will typically work 1-2 weekends per month. However, we provide weekdays in lieu and numerous opportunities for overtime as a result. While the majority of the work will be in your region, larger projects may require engineers to travel and stay away from home.

A competitive salary is offered, along with 28 days of holiday, including bank holidays. Additionally, a company vehicle, uniform, tools, and a Smartphone will be provided.

To apply, please complete the form or submit your CV to recruitment@fleetwitness.co.uk.
