Vehicle Overview
The installation was completed on a Mercedes‑Benz Actros, a heavy goods vehicle widely used across commercial fleets for long‑distance and demanding operational work.
The Actros cab layout provides an ideal platform for camera and recording technology, allowing systems to be integrated alongside existing vehicle controls while maintaining driver comfort and accessibility.
Clean In‑Cab Integration
One of the key priorities during this installation was maintaining a tidy, uncluttered cab environment. Displays were positioned within the driver’s natural line of sight, ensuring that live camera feeds are easy to view without obstructing mirrors, controls, or forward visibility.
Recording and control hardware has been installed discreetly within the cab, away from driver footwells and operating areas. Cabling is routed cleanly and securely, preserving a factory‑style finish and supporting long‑term reliability.

Camera Coverage and Driver Awareness
The camera system provides the driver with real‑time external visibility around the vehicle, supporting safer operation during manoeuvres such as yard movements, low‑speed turns, coupling, and reversing.
Live video feeds allow drivers to monitor blind spots and surrounding activity with clarity, reducing uncertainty when working in tight or busy environments. Image quality remains consistent across changing light conditions, ensuring visibility throughout the working day.
