Unveiling our Driver Monitoring System

White Bar

At Fleet Witness, our goal is simple: to prevent accidents before they occur. To achieve this, we are developing an AI-powered driver monitoring system that identifies risky driving behaviours and intervenes proactively to ensure safety before it’s too late.

What is a driver monitoring system?

Before we discuss these updates in more detail, let’s clarify exactly what driver monitor systems are and what they are supposed to do.

In simple terms, driver monitoring systems do exactly what their name implies: they use driver-facing cameras in vehicle cabs to monitor driver behavior. These systems detect signs of fatigue, distraction, and phone usage, providing immediate audible alerts to drivers when such behaviors are detected. This proactive approach helps prevent accidents before they happen.

Phase One: Testing and Refining

Our Driver Monitoring System (DMS) is now in its testing phase. During this stage, we are fine-tuning the system’s ability to detect signs of fatigue, distraction, and unsafe driving behaviors. We are committed to ensuring that the DMS delivers real-time, actionable insights that help improve driver safety and prevent accidents. With ongoing feedback and improvements, we aim to roll out a highly reliable and effective solution for fleets, enhancing both safety and operational efficiency.

Phase Two: Pre-Launch Testing With Selected Fleets

Our next step is real-world testing and feedback. In this phase, pre-selected fleets will take part in pre-launch trials, using our Driver Monitoring System in their everyday operations. Their feedback will be vital in helping us make any necessary adjustments to ensure the system is as effective and reliable as possible before it officially hits the market.
