Fleet Witness are now CLOCS Champions and FORS Associates
In 2016, 463 people were killed or seriously injured in collisions involving HGVs from all sectors on British roads. 121 of those people died within 30 days of the collision.
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) and Construction Logistics & Community Safety (CLOCS) are voluntary accreditation schemes for commercial vehicle operators. Both organisations promote best practice within the industry and ensures that members commit to meeting certain high standards in road safety.
We believe that membership of these organisations gives the services we offer a further quality mark, underpinning our commitment to driving the highest quality standards in the industry. In turn, our aim is to contribute through adding value to the both schemes and to fellow members.
The Incidents and Collisions Standard outlines that fleet operators should ensure that incidents, traffic collisions, and reported near-misses are recorded, investigated and analysed.
The Fleet Witness Live video telematics solution allows fleet operators to view vehicle cameras in realtime as well as track current location, report and alert on accidents, check historical data, playback recorded footage and run reports on data sets.
We also provide our customers with turn alarms and proximity sensors; alerting drivers, cyclists and pedestrians when they are about to engage with a potentially dangerous situation.
We look forward to helping our fellow members meet the standards set by CLOCS and FORS in our endeavour to help manage and minimise risk on the roads and on construction sites. Road safety is a responsibility we all share. We have an obligation to reduce the number of people who are killed or injured in this annual tragedy.
